Red Rocks, Las Vegas

Only 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip you will find some of the best sandstone climbing in the United States. The Red Rock National Conservation Area boasts world class climbing ranging from long multi-pitch routes up to 3000’ tall, mega classic sport cragging at all ability levels, and easy-to-access bouldering. The sandstone is known for its patina edges but can also offer Indian Creek-style splitter cracks for the crack climbing enthusiast. Rock climbing in the United States doesn’t get much better than the expansive canyons of Aztec sandstone that comprise Red Rock.

While the sandstone is what Red Rock is famous for, there are plenty of local limestone options if you are looking for more variety or for unfortunate stretches of wet weather. You may even get a chance to climb routes that I have personally developed if we climb on the limestone.

Red Rock is where you will find me longer than anywhere else during the year. I am beginning to plant roots in Las Vegas and I am generally available to guide here from October through May with the best months for climbing being October/November and March/April.

Red Rock accommodates all of my guiding offerings from beginner climbing and instruction to classic multi-pitch experiences.
