Colorado

There are two main places that I currently offer guiding services in Colorado: The Front Range (Boulder/Golden/Estes Park/South Platte) and The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park (near Gunnison).  While these are the main areas I operate in, I am not limited to just these areas. Feel free to inquire about other locations.

The Front Range has some of the most variable types of rock available in such a small area.  Within a 1-hour radius of Boulder there are over 8000 climbing routes on nearly every type of rock imaginable. I offer all of my services in the Front Range from classic single and multi pitch climbs to clinics and classes.

Our most popular guiding locations near Denver/Boulder are:

Eldorado Canyon State Park: Sandstone Multi-pitch Trad Climbing for Beginner to Advanced Climbers

The Flatirons of Boulder: Sandstone Single and Multi-pitch Trad and Sport Climbing for Beginner to Intermediate Climbers

Clear Creek Canyon, Golden: Single-pitch Sport Climbing for All Abilities

For the more experienced and adventurous clients, I offer guided alpine-style rock climbing trips to The Black Canyon & Rocky Mountain National Parks. Both of these locations require more extensive travel from the Denver Area and offer pure multi-pitch traditional rock climbing in a remote and sometimes alpine setting.

The Black Canyon offers some of the most remote, committing, and potentially dangerous multi-pitch climbing the United States has to offer, with over 2,000 foot-tall cliffs.  The day starts with a combination of hiking and rappelling down into the canyon where the only way to get back out is to climb back out.  The Black Canyon is one of Colorado’s hidden gems as its serious reputation keeps many would be suitors away.

Rocky Mountain National Park is renowned for its incredible position and breathtaking alpine scenery only a 2 hour drive from downtown Denver.  While hiking to the cliffs, we might have the pleasure of spotting moose, elk, bear, and other wildlife.
