Hey Friends, I’m Thomas.

I am an AMGA Certified Rock Climbing Guide, primarily operating in Las Vegas NV, Boulder CO, & Lander WY.

I began my climbing journey in 2012 and have been professionally rock guiding since 2015. I discovered my passion for rock climbing while serving in the Army, stationed at Ft. Knox, Kentucky where I was introduced to, and fell in love with, a lovely place called the Red River Gorge. I decided that I needed to make climbing my life and after being honorably discharged, hit the road in a camper van for a year-long adventure; climbing at all the classic destinations in North America. After a thorough sampling of what North American climbing had to offer, I went on to climb internationally in exotic places such as Patagonia, Spain, Morocco, Japan, and Mexico while simultaneously training to become a guide.

I am passionate about rock climbing and love to share my passion with others, whether that means summiting a breathtaking peak or instructing skills and rope systems in a controlled environment. My favorite climbing is on sunny, warm rock so you will find me in the desert or South America in the winter and Colorado or Wyoming in the summer.  You will typically find me in these places but I am available worldwide; wherever your dreams may take you. I hope to be a part of your climbing journey and share a rope with you soon!

Cheers,

TG

Why climb with me?

  • I hold myself to a high professional standard and will always be reliable, honest, courteous, patient, respectful, and caring about you and the environment that we operate in.

  • Achieved AMGA Rock Guide Certification in 2019 and maintain current Wilderness First Responder

  • Over 600 guided days with 1,400 clients and counting. I spend most of my off days climbing in the areas I guide in and dialing in guides’ beta.

  • Trained and up to date on the most modern safe practices. I have the experience to recommend the best day out for your goals.

  • I climb 5.7 like its my job…well because it is my job. But can also move quickly through more demanding terrain. I am a big fan of climbing efficiently so we can enjoy the nearby culinary treats and get plenty of rest for the next epic day.

  • While the climbing usually makes this part of my job easy, I am extremely patient, easy going, and enjoyable to be around!

what else?

  • I care about your guided experience with me, as well as your climbing progression. I will do my best to curate a personalized trip along with my favorite food recommendations and things to do/see (especially hot springs!)

  • I’m not just a “rope gun”, I want you to reach your goals and outgrow me if that's what you are trying to achieve

  • I want to establish a relationship with you and climb with you on your next adventure too

  • I want you to choose a guide that you vibe with and not just book a guide service based upon price or who came up first on Google

  • I will be honest with you (I'm not the strongest guide in town and will happily refer you to a guide that will fit your needs). If you want a guide who will onsight free climb the Rainbow Wall for you, I can refer you to a stronger guide; but if you don't care whether your guide sends 5.12, I have extensive, intimate knowledge of the local area and can still climb 5.11 (and can aid efficiently if need be 😉)

  • I am available year-round for all your rock climbing needs including custom international trips

  • Climbing steward: I try to give back in ways that I am able which is usually dedicating time and energy into anchor/bolt maintenance and trail maintenance
